More babies are born out of wedlock every day .

Four out of every ten babies born in America are born to unmarried parents. It is not only happening in America but in many parts of the world. Eight babies are born out of wedlock in the state of Johore in Malaysia everyday!

In the past, most of those babies were born by those teenagers but today, times have changed. They only constitute around 23 %. Now 60% are in the 20's and around 17% in the 30's.

Some of those women may not be officially or legally married but they are living together or cohabiting with the father of their child.

In Malaysia, they will need to get a birth certificate or they will have problems registering for schooling or for the 'MyCard' which is an identity card. They will become stateless people.

Why is this occurrence becoming too common and rapidly rising ?

Getting married today is a very costly affair. Before you could get married at home and only need to spend around RM$1K .But today you will need to have at least Rm$20K to Rm$30K to cover the barest minimum for all those wedding expenses.

Some couples borrow from banks or with their credit cards or get a friendly loan from their parents to hold the wedding . In Malaysia, especially the Chinese culture, they will receive those red packets,'Angpows.'( red envelope which contains money inside).

These days , guests will give money in red envelopes and do not buy those gifts for the newly weds.Their relatives would buy them gold ornaments . In a way , those 'angpows' would help to defray their wedding expenses.

Some of them may even make money, while some may break even and some will have to top up the cost of holding the wedding. In the end, the figure 20K is intimidating but the cost of holding the wedding is lesser or around 10K which is quite affordable to many average person.

With the standard of living rising and the depressing times, many may not want to hold the wedding or downgrade the spending. Some may just opt for the registration and photo shoot only .

Once they register their marriage, they are legally married but without the traditional and customary wedding ceremony. Others may hold the customary marriage when the times are better.

Another reason is the lack of sex education in schools. Many teenagers do not have adequate knowledge to protect them from unwanted pregnancies or STD's.Even if they know about contraception's, there is no 100% safe methods.

Our modern society is sex driven with all those pornographic materials which are readily available online and in the market .Due to the peer pressures, girls are losing their virginity and engaging in free and unsafe sex.

In some countries, abortions are free or inexpensive. They treat abortions as a contraceptive method which is ethically and morally wrong. Multiple abortions are quite common among the people who lives in those countries.

Marriage and sex are no more sacrosanct and the morality of today's teen is spiraling downwards and sex is treated like a handshake .

I Kissed A Girl And I Liked It..

There is the handshake ,then the French kiss and now the girl kiss girl thingy. It is a new phenomenon started with Madonna and Britney Spears and the first public kiss they shared at the MTV Video Awards in 2003. Other young women like Peaches Geldof, actress Megan Fox and singer Lily Allen have also exhibited this behaviour.

What is it like for a girl to kiss another girl in public?

It is definitely not the same as a girl kissing a man which is more natural. Some are naturally curious and would like to experiment and find out how it feels to kiss the same sex .

It is no more unusual to see a straight girl kissing another girl in public, especially those famous personalities on the world stage.

The average Jane's are doing it at their own private house parties. It is a form of exhibition .It doesn't mean at all that they'd go further in private. It is a way of showing off and to prove they are not square and boring.

They are not considered lesbians and it is just a kind of social trend or the in thing to do these days.Being flirty and affectionate or daring and adventurous. To get the thrilling experience and being the centre of attractions.

Girl kissing girl was once associated with lesbian behaviour and in some societies, it still does. The girls kissing each other is akin to those 'tiger' shows which are performed by two females having sex on stage.

This type of girl to girl kiss may not be acceptable in some societies and considered risque public behaviour.

This new shocking and disturbing trend is catching on with the new generations. They want to experiment and flirt with lesbianism.

Who knows what they will do further when they are alone ? Will they go for the next stage and graduate as lesbians?

For those famous personalities, they want to create a layer of mystique about them but for those precocious youngsters who followed them , they are pretty naive about what is the fallout from such a practice.

Sometimes , it is intense social pressures to fit into a certain society which thinks it is fashionable but I don't know if they are mature or understand enough to deal with those complicated issues .

There is a new generations of those young celebrities who are doing it and making the headlines .They are being emulated by many of today's teenagers. It is happening more and more and some girls think it is O.K to do it. It looks more grown up and cool.

Will the men do the same ?

Having it all is even harder for the men ....

Women can have it all, career and family but what about the men ? We seldom hear about how the modern lifestyle have affected the men.Are the men able to cope with the extra workload ? Will they be torn between their careers and the children ?

With women working in greater numbers , who is left in charge of the children? The men are pushed more and more into playing the female gender roles like taking care of the children , house chores and cooking. The gender roles are no more distinct and has blurred.More and more men are now involved in the domestic routine and childcare responsibilities.

If you are a man with a working wife, you will be hard pressed to accommodate both work and family life in your schedule. You are expected to pull your weight in the family unlike your father or grandfather who never did those jobs in the house. You do not have a choice unless you are rich enough to hire maids to do those jobs.

The result is that modern men feel pulled in every direction. The women is able to multi task while the men are bewildered. A woman may spend 24/7 with the children but let the man have the child for 1 hour and he will go bonkers and quickly send a S.O.S to his wife.A man is not made like a woman .

The modern men will have to bring home the bacon while at the same time ensuring they're an intrinsic part of their children's lives.

For a man , career is very important . They are in a dilemma whether to stay at work late to protect their job, or rush home to do their share of childcare as their wife expects?

Before a man marries, he has two choices. To marry a working wife or a full time housewife? He will have to weigh the pro's and con's .

Teacher raped by a 15 year old student.

School discipline is on the wane and violent crimes committed by wayward students are on the rise. The student of today are an indiscipline lot. They are more daring and violent and student gangs are flourishing. Even the girls have their own gangs.

Knifing, gang fights over girls and territories, brutal beatings on slightest provocations and senseless rape carried out in some schools are more common these days.

Some students even bring guns to school and there have been cases where they mowed down their fellow students in cold blood. These phenomenon does not only happen in one country but is a worldwide problem.

Most of the teachers are females and the school environment is no more a safe place as there is a lack of men teachers .If anything were to happen, it would be too late to prevent it.It is an occupational hazard.

Schools should have a security force to maintain the security in the school and protect those teachers and students.

The 32 years old teacher was brutally assaulted and raped by a 15-year-old pupil .She was alone in her classroom after lessons. She just started teaching for only a week and met with a horrifying ordeal.

Who is liable for this unfortunate incident?

The onus is on the school to protect its staff but such incidents are difficult to preempt. No matter how much you try to prevent such incidents , if it is bound to happen, it will happen .

One crazed student is all it takes and you won't know when and where he will strike. The school did not foresee that problem. It did not happen before. Schools will now have to take more radical measures to ensure the teachers are working in a safer environment.

Teachers will also have to use their common sense and do not take unnecessary risk when dealing with recalcitrant students.

We regret for what happened to this teacher and wish her well for the future. The school is not totally liable and this incident highlights the dangers that teachers will face in the future.

What has become to our youths of today?

Are you intimidated by those good looks ?

Physical attractions is a very powerful magnetic force. It is like a strong tractor beam that will pull your attentions to them. You cannot avoid it. We are naturally attracted to beautiful people.

We will feel intimidated initially when we come across a person who is extremely beautiful or handsome. To say that we are not intimidated at all is to delude oneself. For some , even looking at them can send them the 'shivers.'

It is not just beauty alone that we are intimidated but it can also be wealth and fame too.

Why are your hands shaking, your voice breaking or stuttering , your legs quivering and your heart and pulse beating at a frantic pace ?

Why do you suddenly become self conscious of how you walk or act? You have a funny sensation of your gait. You don't know why you felt that way about your manner of walking. It feels strange all of a sudden..LOL!

Your brain doesn't seem to function and you get tongue-tied just thinking about what you want to say to her for fear of offending her sensibilities.

It affects both the guys and the girls. When someone is more beautiful or handsome than us, we will feel intimidated.

When a guy see's a very beautiful, hot and sexy girl,he will feel intimidated because he will think that she will have many male admirers because she is probably very popular. He may think that he is just an average guy and is not good enough for her .He fears rejection from her.

But the truth is sometimes those beautiful girls are sitting at home and waiting to be asked out. It will be the players who would dare to invite them out and leave them in the end.

For the girls, they not only have to face the intimidation's from the guys but also from their own kind. If they know another gorgeous girl is interested in him, they may give him up without trying.

They may feel that they are not pretty enough and he would not be interested in them. Some will act 'cool' towards those guys.
We feel more comfortable talking and interacting with an average looking guy.

How can you overcome those intimidation's ?

They may look more beautiful or handsome than you but everyone has their uniqueness.Do not give them too much 'worth.' They are after all humans too and not angels or God.They came from a better genes and a person is not judged on the physical beauty alone. When you have this mindset, you will not be awed by their striking beauties.
