You had no intentions of having an affair or a one night stand but it happened and you regretted it .

If the affair has ended and you do not have anything to do with her anymore, you should not tell her even if she suspects you . You will only pass your burden of guilt to her and she may not forgive you or if she forgives you , your relationship will suffer and will never be the same again.
You know you have made a very bad mistake and you should only confess to God about it and asks for His forgiveness and make restitution's to your wife.Treat it like a bad dream or nightmare and move on with life.
Just deny everything if she asked about it. She will not leave unless it comes from your own mouth.You made a bloody mistake and learn to life with it and take it to the grave with you.
