Most single working women are usually broke before the end of the month due to their shopping binges. The lucky ones would get some loans or subsidies from their b/f's or parents ,while those who are single will have to tighten their belts when their money is in short supply. They may go on a diet of cup noodles for days to tight over until the next payday .
For those married, spending his money is fun and enjoyable .He works hard to earn the money while she spends hard to provide the good materialistic life.
Today, many women have high paying jobs and they do not rely on their men to pay for their shopping's. They have complete freedom to buy whatever they wanted without any complains from their men.
Otherwise , he would be scrutinizing every items she purchased and would come in for some heavy criticisms on her wasteful and spendthrift ways.
If she has to depend on her man , she will have to be very careful about how to spend or what to buy least she incurs his anger.
In the Asia region , women from Hong Kong are the most financially independent followed by the mainland Chinese and Singapore. Women from these countries have equal say with their men.
Even though the women are financially independent, they do expect the men to play their traditional roles of the main breadwinner. They expect the men to pay for all those bills and household expenses unless he is unable or beyond his abilities.
They are reluctant to pay and only grudgingly pay when forced by the circumstances.
What is yours is theirs and what is theirs is theirs.
Shopping can be therapeutics and a stress reliever. If they are not happy or felt stressful , a walk in those shopping malls would free their minds and they will feel their gloom's are no more. Women think of shopping every few minutes.
Women would rather shop alone or with their g/f's than with their man because of the man's attitudes . They would look bored, frustrated or uncooperative. They would stand outside the shop or find some seats and wait for her.Some of them would not be able to help her and ask her to decide for herself.
Having a man tagging on a shopping trip is like having a dark cloud following you and the cloud is heavy laden and waiting to pour..LOL!
From the man's perspective, they simply do not understand why women would enter every shop to look for a pair of shoes or even walk through all the shopping malls in the vicinity until they find the shoes they like.It is really hard to please a woman, so fussy and fastidious shopper.
You cannot really blame them because those shopping trips are to those shops which sells woman's products like clothing, accessories, skin care products and cosmetics in which they have absolutely no interest.
If women don't spend, then many business will have to pack their bags and close shop.
